9th annual "Coosa River Challenge" draws many to finish

WETUMPKA, AL (WSFA) - Nearly 300 people took part in the 9th annual "Coosa River Challenge" in Wetumpka Saturday.

The "Coosa River Challenge" is one of the toughest triathlons in the area. Participants went for the gold completing the 20 mile course that included running, biking, canoeing, and swimming.

Race organizers say fewer than 2% of people in the United States ever finish a race like this.

The "Coosa River Challenge" serves as a way to keep the community active and support camaraderie.
