A candle light vigil is being planned for a young Clanton girl who committed suicide because she did not want to be bullied any longer.

CLANTON, AL (WSFA) - The vigil is set for Thursday at 7:30pm and will honor the memory of 12-year-old Dajia Lee, a Clanton Middle School student. The memorial will take place in Goose Pond Park located on  7th Street in Clanton.

Jessica Brookshire, CEO and  founder of  the K.A.R.M.A. Foundation ( Kids Against Ridicule, Meanness and Aggression) plans an anti-bullying message from the perspective of someone who has been bullied.

Brookshire says she's shared her anti-bullying message with over 90, 000 students across the state of Alabama and says her campaign has gone national within the last 6 months.

Lee hung herself in the closet of her bedroom. Her mom says she never knew her little girl was being bullied until it was too late.
