Missing woman sought after car found burned

AUBURN, AL (WSFA) - The Auburn Police Department is looking for a missing woman and wants the public's help in locating her. Tuesday, October 11 a report was filed regarding the disappearance of Cherri N. Dawson, 31. Dawson is an Auburn resident.

She was last seen or heard from on Saturday, October 8. A vehicle she is believed to have been driving recently was found burned early the next day (Sunday) in Chambers County.

Dawson is described as an African-American female, approximately 5'04" in height, 140 pounds, with dark hair and hazel eyes.

WTVM-TV in Columbus, Georgia is reporting that Dawson is 5 months pregnant.

The case is being investigated by both the Auburn Police Division and the Chambers County Sheriff's Office.
