It has been more than a week since a pregnant woman from Auburn vanished and her car was found burned to the frame in Chambers County.
Auburn police tell News Leader 9, they are not ready to say if foul play is suspected in the missing person's case of Cheri Dawson.
Police will only say they are actively looking for the 31-year-old single mother, who is also around five months pregnant.
Dawson was last seen almost two weeks ago by family and friends.
Her car was found burned to the metal along an isolated, dirt road in Chambers County that next day.
"With every day that passes, certainly her family gets more concerned and of course we get more concerned. We are just asking if anyone has any information on where she may be to please give us a call," said Captain Tom Stofer, Auburn Police Department.
Captain Stofer says locating Dawson and her unborn child is top priority for the Auburn Police Department.
However, they're keeping a tight lid on the investigation. Stofer will not share specifically what detectives are doing to locate Dawson. He will only say the efforts are extensive and will continue.
Again, if you have any information on where Cheri Dawson may be, you are asked to call law enforcement.
