Montgomery girl, 13, freed from storm drain

MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - A 13-year-old Montgomery girl who was trapped in a storm drain on Upper Wetumpka Road in Montgomery was finally freed around 6pm Sunday.

As a result she suffered a fractured femur and arm.

It took rescue workers two hours to retrieve her out of the tunnel.

WSFA 12 News was the only station on the scene and will update this story with additional information as it becomes available.
