Tuition money being given away

CollegeCounts - Alabama's 529 Fund announces the "Give Smart Giveaway," a college savings promotion that will provide eight winners with $529 to begin or enhance their college savings plans. One grand prize winner will receive $2,529 after the campaign ends November 11.  

"This is a great opportunity for Alabama residents to start saving for future college expenses," said Alabama State Treasurer Young Boozer. "With tuition costs continuing to rise, saving early makes sense now more than ever before." 

The "Give Smart Giveaway" prizes are provided by Union Bank & Trust Company of Lincoln, Neb., the program manager of CollegeCounts – Alabama's 529 Fund.  

Alabama residents can enter to win by liking the CollegeCounts Facebook page and submitting their email address through the "Give Smart Giveaway" tab on the left side of the page. Those wishing to mail their entries should send a letter including their name, address, phone number and email address to College Counts – Alabama's 529 Fund, Attn: "Give Smart Giveaway" at P.O. Box 85290, Lincoln, NE 68501-5290.
