MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -
The Alabama Department of Corrections is issuing an escaped inmate notice for Andrew Wayne Martin. The man is considered an escapee from the Childersburg Work Release Center.
DOC officials say a supervisor reported Martin missing from his job in Saginaw Thursday around 12:10am. Martin could not be located during a subsequent ADOC search of the location.
Martin is a 5 feet, 10 inches tall, weighing 180 pounds, brown eyes and brown hair.
He was sentenced out of Jefferson County on October 19, 2009, and is serving a 3.6 year split sentence for Robbery I and Burglary I. Martin's sentence was set to end February 1, 2013.
The US Marshals Fugitive Task Force is assisting with locating and apprehending Martin.
