ECLECTIC, AL (WSFA) - Amanda Preskitt knows the hallways at Eclectic Elementary School very well. The second grade teacher was once a student here. "I teach with 3 teachers who taught me, so its kind of weird to now be on their level," Preskitt said. "But I do have a lot of pride in my school."
Ms. Preskitt has been here for 3 years. School leaders say she always finds clever ways to help the students learn. "In October I would say "hocus pocus" and they would say everybody focus. It was just a way to keep it on their level and have some fun."
Ms. Preskitt knows every one of her students has a chance to succeed. "I think you have the ability to make a difference in a child's life, and when you see enormous growth, it can be emotional."
Ms. Amanda Preskitt from Eclectic Elementary School in Elmore County is a real Class Act.
