Perfect Brownie - "Does it Work?"

Posted: Updated:
MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -

The Perfect Brownie is a baking set is designed to make slicing and serving those chocolaty treats much easier.   The pan set comes with an open bottom 11" x 7" non-stick pan.  A thin non-stick sheet fits to fill the hole during baking and also acts as a serving sheet in conjunction with a special rack.  A divider pre-slices the batter before cooking.

Using a store bought pack of fudge brownie mix; I follow the box instructions for a non-stick pan setting the oven to 325° to preheat.   The Perfect Brownie set calls for a few precautions to prevent any leakage.  First, preheating the empty brownie pan itself for five minutes in the oven.  Then, when ready to bake everything, place it on another non-stick cookie sheet to prevent any mess from spilling in the oven.

Once the brownie batter is prepared, I remove the preheated pan from the oven placing it onto a cookie sheet.  I generously coat the pan with non-stick cooking spray as instructed, and then I pour the batter into the pan.  Finally, I hit the divider with non-stick spray and place it in the pan to divide up the batter.

Following the instructions for a 13" x 9" pan, I set the timer for 25-minutes.  After the time required for cooking passes, I remove the brownies to cool.  But first, I pull out the divider while still warm as suggested.  The divider slides out effortlessly, leaving eighteen perfect brownie squares.

The final step in the Perfect Brownie pan set is serving them.  With the hole in the bottom, by placing the pan over the provided rack, the sides of the pan drop to the table, and what's left is the flat metal piece with the pre-cut treats.

As an added bonus, there were no leaks on the cookie sheet afterwards.  Our test of the Perfect Brownie gave us ooey, gooey, perfectly cooked brownies; therefore, it cooks up a YES for this week's "Does it Work?" test!  The Perfect Brownie pan set can be found selling for $19.99.
