Pearl Harbor Anniversary; Medicare Deadline

Wednesday

December 7, 2011

Good Morning!

Today marks the anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor. All flags will be lowered to half staff to honor Americans who served during that time in our history. We'll have a report this morning on Today in Alabama about some of the people who will return there to remember those who lost their lives.

Also, seniors enrolled in Medicare are up against a deadline today. They have until midnight to decide how they'll be covered in case they need medical care or prescriptions. Our Melissa Johnson will have details on this important decision in a live report.

Plus, our political reporter Max Reiss has the story of one lawmaker who wants to repeal the state sales tax on food. Many have tried in the past, but he says his way is better. Find out what he wants to do and what it might cost the average Alabamian in the long run...this morning on Today in Alabama.

Those stories, plus your latest sports and weather, this morning from 5-7 on WSFA 12 News!

Thanks for watching!
