The victim shot to death in Montgomery on Christmas night is being identified by authorities.

Jervarin Mushat, 25, was gunned down around 8:00pm in the 300 block of Larchmont Drive on the city's west side Dec. 25.

Police say they've developed a suspect in the homicide, but no arrest or charges have been made at this time. Additional information, including a motive, were not immediately provided.

Investigators found Mushat suffering from a gunshot wound after they arrived on the scene. He was pronounced dead on the scene a short time later.

Mushat is Montgomery's 31st homicide victim of 2011.
