Former presidential candidate Newt Gingrich ended his campaign earlier this month nearly $4.8 million in debt.
The Court of the Judiciary scheduled a date for a public hearing in the case against former Montgomery County Family Court Judge Patricia Warner.
The hearing is set for Friday, January 27, 2012 at 11:00am and will likely determine whether the Court will accept a negotiated resolution between the parties.
Warner retired from the bench in June of 2011, just six months after winner re-election.
The Alabama Judicial Inquiry Commission launched a complaint against Warner alleging she unfairly treated numerous parties before her court.
Warner has steadfastly denied any wrongdoing. Documents show 27 of 29 appealed decisions from her courtroom were later overturned.
