MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -
It's a great day to be an Alabamian. We fight hard in this state –whether it's demanding that BP do all that is necessary to clean up our Gulf and beaches, or the rebuilding of homes and lives following the April tornadoes or taking it to LSU like the Crimson Tide did on Monday night.
Congratulations go out to Alabama's football team for winning their 2nd BCS championship in 3 years by shutting out LSU 21-0.
The preparation and hard work necessary to battle a team like LSU and win in such a manner did not go unnoticed and we are proud to say Alabama is home to the #1 college football team in the nation for the third year running.
Way to go players and coaches, you did it. Let us not forget the Alabama student body, alumni and you faithful fans. Your support helped make this season and championship a reality.
A win like this is something we can all take pride in from Mobile to Huntsville.
