Fewer clerks - more work piling up in courthouses statewide...

Hello from the anchor office!

Are you staying warm tonight?  Got a fire going?  Jeff Jumper will update the overnight low temperature projections - and talk about a really bitter day tomorrow...followed by even colder temps Friday night.

Despite the state's General Fund suffering to the tune of about $400-million, the Chief Justice of the State Supreme Court asks for millions more to avoid more layoffs in the judicial system statewide.

A case worthy of a CIS segment in Autauga County.  A hunter finds a skull and bones in a wooded area in the Vida community.  How long have they been there? Who's the victim? What caused the death.

After Mississippi's parole problems, could it happen here in Alabama?  Could hundreds of inmates walk out of our prisons - thanks to an exiting governor?

And, St. James School in Montgomery introduces a new approach to college prep courses...unique in Alabama.

Plus, three players from Alabama's national championship team are headed to the NFL draft.

Hope you'll join us tonight at 10!  I'll see you on the set.

Bob H.
