MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - Two Universities in Montgomery are partnering together to lend a helping hand to families this tax season.
Auburn University Montgomery and Huntingdon College are joining together to provide free tax services for families with a program called "Impact Alabama."
Officials with the program say the main goal is to help families save money.
In order to be eligible families must meet certain requirements such as making less than 50,000 per year with children in the home or making 20,000 or less if there are no children in the home.
Families can schedule an appointment and also enter to win a $5,000 cash jackpot by purchasing a saving bond.
The deadline to file taxes is April 17th.
