MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -
Vickie White believes everyone has a special gift, hers is teaching. "I really have a passion for teaching," White said. She's been in the education field for more than 30 years, but this is her first year at MacMillan International Academy in Montgomery. "These children are my children. I don't have any of my own, so all they do in class and out of class is of great concern to me."
Ms. White's goal is to create an environment where the kids feel safe and eager to learn. "I have wonderful children and I tell them that every day, because we love each other and work well together."
The person who nominated her for the Class Act Award says her love for her students and love for her job shine through her words and actions every day.
Congratulations Ms. Vickie White, you're this week's Class Act.
