Russell County's Sheriff on the record with WSFA 12 News...

Hello from the newsroom!

Hope you're ready for the beginning of the weekend...looks like it's going to be a wet one...but hey, it's still the weekend, right?

If you've been following the search for the man who allegedly sexually assaulted a passed out LSU fan after the National Championship game...you need to watch for an update on the story.  Turns out the man who is the "person of interest" in the case is from Alabama...and is related to the sheriff in Russell County. We'll hear from the sheriff after hearing the news of his relative's plight.

Montgomery Regional Airport still has sluggish numbers when it comes to the number of passengers passing through its newly remodeled facilities.  So, what to do?  We'll find out the airport's marketing approach.

We'll update several items, including a new developments in the State House corruption trial, the naming of the Montgomery's new high school, and the end of the courtesy period for the city's new speed detection cameras - the tickets will soon be in the mail.

Hope you'll join us at 10.  We'll leave the studio lights on for you!

Bob H.
