MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - Injured Montgomery Police Department K9 "Bodi" was honorably retired from the Montgomery Police Department today in a ceremony held at MPD headquarters.
Bodi was presented with a shadow box detailing his time at MPD from his badge, down to his training collar. He was also awarded with a City of Montgomery Purple Heart in recognition of injuries sustained in the line of duty.
According to a presentation given by Bodi's Veterinarians at the ceremony, once the K9's hair grows back, no one will ever be able to tell he was injured.
Bodi enjoys a big bone after being retired from MPD.
