Maplesville declares overnight curfew

Officials in the town of Maplesville are ordering a one-night curfew due to damage from Monday's severe weather outbreak.

The curfew goes into effect from dusk on January 23 to dawn on January 24. Officials say they will reassess the situation Tuesday.  

  • Highway 82 is closed at County Road 10
  • No traffic will be allowed on Highway 22 coming west from Clanton
  • Highway 139 into town from Maplesville will be closed 

 No shelters are currently open in Maplesville.
