MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -
Miss Ann Dean has control of the classroom. She's been doing this for 26 years. The Lanier high school teacher has a passion for early childhood education. She's this week's Class Act. "In our classroom we intern at a daycare center 3 days a week," Dean said. "I enjoy seeing the small children and my children interact with them."
A student nominated Ms. Dean for the award saying her classroom is filled with love and generosity, and that she would do anything to help her students succeed. "You have to know your students, and if one isn't up to par that day, you have to know how to connect with that student."
Ms. Dean says her primary goal is to get these students for their next step in life. It's something she takes pride in every day. Ms. Ann Dean from Lanier High School in Montgomery is this week's Class Act.
