HOOVER, Ala. (AP) - Alabama's new economic development strategy is being unveiled in Hoover.
Gov. Robert Bentley created the Alabama Economic Development Alliance after running on a campaign of job creation. The alliance has been working on the new strategy and is set to announce it Tuesday at the winter conference of the Economic Development Association of Alabama.
Alabama's chief industrial recruiter, Greg Canfield, says the plan called "Accelerate Alabama" will structure how the state recruits jobs.
Bentley said he will address the business group Tuesday after touring tornado damage in northern Jefferson County.
