MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -
Two basketball players at Montgomery's Saint James High School are being recognized by ESPN SportsCenter for their impressive skills on the court.
WSFA 12 Sports cameras were at the Saint James vs. Saint Jude game Monday night and recorded not one, but two plays that found their way to the cable sports network. The Saint James plays were ranked #1 in the Top Ten best plays.
The first shot sailed 90 feet through the air as the buzzer sounded the end of the first quarter. It then slipped into the net.
Player Slade Methvin was cheered on by team members as he stood stunned.
Then, at the end of the first half, Saint James' C.J. Duncan sent another buzzer-beating basketball through the net from half-court.
The Saint James Trojans played an impressive game, but ultimately fell to the Saint Jude Pirates in the final game of the regular season. The final score was 66-63.
