Donations are being accepted from anyone willing to help a family who lost a baby and their home in an early morning fire in Autaugaville.
The Family Support Center in Prattville, located at 113 West Main Street, is taking clothes, shoes and any other items that folks are willing to donate.
The fire occurred around 6:00 a.m. off Highway 14 near Autaugaville High School. Viewer video showed the house engulfed in flames. The structure is a total loss.
Authorities say the body of the baby boy was located after the blaze was extinguished. Four other family members were taken to a local hospital with injuries.
Four volunteer fire departments including 25 fire fighters responded, and it took approximately 30 minutes to extinguish the blaze.
An investigation is underway to determine the cause of the fire.
