Scott was taken into custody within moments. He was uninjured in the incident.

The officer, whose name is not being released at this time, received minor injury.

Another uninvolved vehicle received minor damage as the officer was attempting the traffic stop.  That motorist was uninjured.

The incident will be investigated by the Alabama Bureau of Investigation.  The officer will be placed on administrative leave which is standard procedure in such a case.
