How to help the Bohannon family

Posted: Updated:

There's been an outpouring of support and encouragement for an Autaugaville family after a fatal house fire Monday.

The fire impacted four generations of the Bohannon family.  Wes and Hope Bohannon, their three children and Wes's father Steve and stepmother Michelle were staying with Wes' grandmother Bobbie Jean in her home when the blaze broke out.

The fire destroyed the grandmother's home and sadly claimed the life of 16 month old Wesley Bohannon, Junior.  The baby's mother, father and two other children were injured in the fire.

There are several efforts to help all the family members:

  • Donations can be dropped off at the Family Support Center on Main Street in Prattville.  You can call them at (334) 361-4703.
  • Account at Ameri-First Bank.
  • Account at the Alabama State Credit Union.
  • Millbrook Girls Softball Association will have a booth at the Millbrook Revelers Parade Saturday accepting donations to help cover funeral and medical bills.
