MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -
Baptist Health System announced Wednesday that it has been selected as one of the recipients of the 2012 Thompson Reuters 15 Top Health Systems award.
The award recognizes the best health systems for their setting of industry benchmarks across the healthcare spectrum.

- Saved more lives and caused significantly fewer patient complications
- Followed industry-recommended standards of care more closely
- Ranked higher in patient safety
- Released patients half a day sooner
- Scored better on overall patient satisfaction
- Provided an overall better level of clinical care
Baptist Health was the system in Alabama to receive the recognition.
