MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -

The Montgomery Police Department is charged two men in connection with Tuesday's shooting at a parking lot in the Eastdale Mall shopping complex.

Roger Martin, 17, and Ladarrin Martin, 20, face one count each of first-degree robbery, a Class A felony. The two men are cousins, according to police. The 17-year-old will be charged as an adult.

Both men were transported to the Montgomery County Detention Facility, where Roger Martin was booked under a $150,000 bond. Ladarrin Martin was being held under a $100,000 bond.

The men are accused of critically shooting a 21-year-old male around 3:15pm before fleeing the scene of the crime. Both men were taken into custody within 30 minutes of the incident.

Investigators say the suspects specifically targeted the victim.

Police say an Alabama State Trooper helicopter and an unarmed mall security officer where critical to the helping find the suspects.

The Martins abandoned their vehicle on a service road not far from the mall before running into a residential neighborhood.

As of Wednesday evening, the victim was continuing to recover from surgery and was listed in stable condition at Baptist Medical Center South.

Police say the investigation is ongoing and the expectation of additional charges is present.
