MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -
Investigators took a suspect in Montgomery's 4th homicide of 2012 into custody late Sunday evening. Monday, he confessed to the crime.
Gordon B. Fowler, 52, of Pelzer Avenue was arrested around 11:30pm and charged with the death of Lori Skinner Thomas.
Skinner, 41, was found dead around 8:15am Sunday at her home on Cloverdale Road.
Police say the homicide happened after a verbal altercation turned physical. The victim was stabbed to death. The reason for the argument is unknown, but police say the two had a romantic relationship, though the two were not in a dating relationship.
Fowler is being held at the Montgomery County Detention Facility under a $75,000 bond.
