HOOVER, AL (WBRC) -
Hoover Police will pursue charges against a man arrested after hitting at least seven vehicles in Hoover on Monday before he was pulled out of his vehicle naked.
Captain Jim Coker with the HPD says the department will pursue reckless endangerment charges against the driver. The man has been identified as a 57-year-old Hoover resident but his name is being withheld pending formal charges. The police department is waiting until the man is released from the hospital to formally charge him.
The incident began when a man hit a car being pulled out from Long-Lewis Ford. He fled the scene but a police officer who had witnessed the incident followed him and attempted to stop him. The man did not pull over and a "low speed chase" ensued for about four miles to the intersection of highways 31 and 150, where the man then hit additional vehicles.

Police say that prior to the wrecks, the man entered a dry cleaners, naked,
carrying a Bible, and asked for a hanger.
Hoover police arrested the man at the wreck scene near the intersection of Highway 31 and 150. Coker says no one was seriously hurt but at least seven vehicles were damaged.
