Hooper Academy Teacher a Class Act

For Debbie Moncrief, Hooper Academy feels like home.  At times it might look like home too.  "Both my kids have been going here since they were 5 months old," Moncrief said.  "Now one is a junior and the other is in the 8th grade and I'm hoping to stay here until they graduate."

Mrs. Moncrief has spent the last 24 years at Hooper Academy in Montgomery County.  And the parents love the fact that she's still there.   The parent who nominated her for the Class Act award says she goes above and beyond to help her students, and she has fun doing it.  Mrs. Moncrief loves her first graders.   "The children are energetic, enthusiastic, most of them really love to learn if you keep them motivated, they will cooperate and learn."

Making a difference in the classroom every day.  Mrs. Debbie Moncrief from Hooper Academy is a real "Class Act."
