Montgomery Co. absentee application deadline


The final day for Montgomery County registered voters to apply for a Primary Election absentee ballot is Thursday, March 8, 2012. The election is scheduled for Tuesday, March 13, 2012 and polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Registered voters living in Montgomery County must complete an Absentee Voting Application before receiving a ballot. To be eligible for an absentee ballot, a voter must be: out of the county or state on Election Day, physically incapacitated and unable to vote in person on Election Day, working a shift which has at least ten hours that coincide with the polling hours at the voter's regular polling place, a student at an educational institution based outside Montgomery County and unable to vote at your polling place on Election Day, a member of, or a spouse of, the armed forces of the United States, or an election officer at a polling place which is not the voter's regular polling place.

An Absentee Voting Application can be obtained by calling 832-1281, downloading the application from <> or visiting The Montgomery Election Center at 125 Washington Avenue.

All absentee ballots must be hand-delivered to The Montgomery Election Center by Monday, March 12 or be postmarked by Monday, March 12 and received at The Montgomery Election Center by noon on Primary Election Day to be counted.
