Autauga Academy Teacher a Class Act

AUTAUGA CO., AL (WSFA) -

Some people say there's a reason why you end up somewhere.  That's definitely the case with Autauga Academy teacher LeAnn Jones.  She's been in education for 22 years.  Four years ago her career path led her to Autauga Academy.  "We moved from Birmingham to Prattville, this is where my husband went to school," Jones said.  "It's just a great fit.  My daughter graduated from here last year."

A parent nominated Mrs. Jones for the Class Act award.  The parent said Mrs. Jones goes out of her way to make sure her students learn, and doesn't mind giving them the extra time they need.   Sometimes that means cheering her boys and girls on, off campus.  "I go to basketball and watch them cheer, it's just fun to be part of their lives."

For Mrs. Jones 3rd grade is the perfect fit.  "They are old enough to do things for themselves, but still very loving."  And you can tell how much they love their teacher.  Mrs. LeAnn Jones from Autauga Academy is this week's Class Act.
