Arrest in apt. complex intruder case

MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -

Some residents who were sleeping at their apartments near Gas Light Curve are learning of an intruder who police say entered or attempted to enter several units during the overnight hours.

The Montgomery Police Department says it took a suspect into custody after looking into reports that a male intruder targeted two apartment complexes in the area.

At least two victims reported to police that the man, currently unidentified, was seen trying to enter their apartments between 2:00am and 5:30am Monday, March 5.

Police say their investigation indicates the man may have tried to enter other apartments, as well. MPD investigators added that the incidents may be related and involve a single suspect.  Police say they do not have any indication of attempted abductions.

Investigators are not releasing any additional details specifically regarding their case. The suspect is not being identified "until all victims have had an opportunity to view a photographic lineup".
