According to Texas Department of Public Safety Trooper Jean Dark, a DPS trooper was involved in an accident on Tuesday at about 9:29a.m.
DPS Trooper Player of Longview was headed south on State Hwy 42 in Kilgore when he attempted to pass a Ford Taurus. The Taurus was driven by Kendra Thomason of Kemp.
Thomason turned as Player was passing, striking the DPS unit. No injuries were reported, and no charges or citations were noted on the report.
