Workers Wanted!

 

Need a job? More than 200 are coming to Montgomery! This afternoon the mayor will announce plans for a new business that will locate in the capital city.  City officials are keeping the details close to their vest, but count on WSFA 12 News to have more tonight at 5.

Speaking of jobs, a huge economic conference is underway in Monroeville. Officials from China are in town talking about bringing more businesses to the state. Monroeville rolled out the red carpet to make sure the visitors feel welcome. Everywhere you look in downtown Monroeville you'll find signs in both English and Chinese.

One group wants the Alabama Democratic Party to distance itself from an upcoming event with political personality Bill Maher. The Alabama Federation of Republican Women calls Maher offensive to women. But, the Democratic Party says Maher is not apart of its upcoming fundraiser even though some of its members have tickets to see his show.

And, can you believe this weather?  It feels like summer in March! Chief Meterologist Rich Thomas will explain what's happening.
