MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -

Authorities have identified the man killed in the two vehicle wreck on Selma Highway on Thursday afternoon.

Police say 19-year-old Eddie James Haynes Jr., of Montgomery, was traveling west on Selma Hwy. in his silver 1995 Isuzu Rodeo when he lost control of the vehicle, crossed the grassy median, and struck a truck in the oncoming lane.

Haynes was transported to Baptist South's Emergency Room where he was pronounced deceased a short time later.

The driver of the 2001 Black Chevrolet Silverado, 38-year-old Joel Jeffery Bagley of North Dakota, suffered a serious injury but authorities say it is not considered life-threatening.

Haynes is Montgomery's ninth traffic fatality victim of 2012.
