EVERGREEN, AL (WSFA) -

Conecuh County Sheriff Edwin Booker says his department is looking for a man accused of shooting a woman in the head back on March 10. Robert Dickerson, Jr. is wanted on an attempted murder warrant.

Authorities believe Dickerson is still in the Evergreen area, but say he has not been home or to work and has sold his vehicle.

The victim, Teresa Benson, was shot in the head in the early morning hours back on the 10th. While the bullet struck her head, authorities say it did not penetrate the skull. She's since been released from the hospital.

Dickerson, commonly called "Junior" is considered armed and dangerous, according to Sheriff Booker. He is a registered sex offender and has prior history of violence.

If seen, please contact local law enforcement, and do not approach.
