MONROE, OH (FOX19) -
Solid Rock Church in Monroe is building a new statue of Jesus.
The new statue will feature a different design called Light of the World. Pastor Darlene Bishop says it will replace the previous statue which burned in June of 2010 after being struck by lightning.
Church administrator Ron Carter says they are currently working on pipes and stones for a water feature which will look like a waterfall at the base of the new statue.
The new statue is being constructed in Vandalia and will be delivered to the site in seven pieces.
