AUBURN, AL (WTVM) -
Opening arguments are underway in the armed robbery trial of former Auburn University football player, Antonio Goodwin.
Jury selection wrapped up early Tuesday afternoon, even though Goodwin's attorney has asked for a continuance or a delay, saying she is still waiting on documents from Auburn University.
News Leader 9 understands some of those documents detail drug testing policies and results.
Goodwin, Michael McNeil, Shaun Kitchens and Dakota Mosley were on Auburn University's National Championship team when they were arrested in March of 2011 after an alleged home invasion and armed robbery.
The former football players are accused of robbing five people at gunpoint at an Auburn mobile home earlier that month.
All four men were kicked off the team after their arrests.
News Leader 9 is following the trial. We'll have the latest from Tuesday's proceedings as soon as it becomes available. Copyright 2012 WTVM. All rights reserved.
