MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -

Authorities are releasing the names of two brothers who drowned in a residential pool in Montgomery Monday evening.

The bodies of Victor Garcia, 7, and Cristubal Basurto Garcia, 5, were found at approximately 5:45pm in the pool at the Cypress Court Apartments off Plaza Drive.

Both boys were transported to Baptist Medical Center South, but were pronounced dead at approximately 7:20pm.

A fund was set up by Ridgecrest Baptist Church Tuesday in an effort to help the Garcia family with funeral costs for the siblings.

Checks can be made to:

Ridgecrest Baptist Church
5260 Vaughn Road
Montgomery, AL 36116

(Write Garcia Boys Fund on the For line of the check)

You may also call 277-0011 if you have any questions.

A death investigation is ongoing, but authorities say the drownings appear to be accidental, and no charges are expected.
