Auburn basketball players dismissed

Auburn men's basketball players Cedrick McAfee and Josh Langford have been dismissed from the team and Noel Johnson has been suspended indefinitely, head coach Tony Barbee announced Friday.

"Cedrick McAfee and Josh Langford have been dismissed from the Auburn men's basketball team for a violation of team rules," Barbee said. "Noel Johnson has been suspended indefinitely. We will have no further comment at this time."

A sophomore guard from Huntsville, Langford played in 14 contests, averaging 5.2 points and 2.1 rebounds a contest.

McAfee, a freshman from Memphis, Tenn., redshirted during the 2011-12 season.
