DECATUR, AL (WAFF) -
Decatur police arrested a woman on charges of contaminating milk with meth components.
Officials said they responded to a call in Hartselle of a woman complaining of feeling ill after drinking milk.
After an investigation, police determined that the milk had been contaminated with camping fuel, a substance commonly used to make methamphetamine. Police suspected Kristi Thurman of contaminating the milk since she and the victim were in an argument the previous day.
Thurman was arrested April 30th with her boyfriend after police found methamphetamine ingredients at a residence. On May 3rd, police charged her with assault second degree. Her bond was set at $2,500.
