U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder

Alabama's state school superintendent just got a letter from the federal government. The department of justice is again criticizing the state's new immigration law. U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder says the law is having a negative impact on Hispanic school students. We'll show you the letter and have reaction on WSFA 12 News at 5:00.

Democrats at the Alabama state house proposed a plan today to redraw the state's legislative districts. The lines must be redrawn every 10 years based on U.S. census results. Get a look at the newest plan tonight at 6:00.

Also at 6:00, WSFA 12 News has learned that Prattville's High Pointe Shopping Center is being sold... again. The center on Cobbs Ford Road has been struggling to find tenants ever since it was built.

Are you ready for the weekend? There's a lot going on -- from the Montgomery Museum's Flimp Festival to the city of Prattville's CityFest! Check out our community events pages for details. Then tune in tonight for the weekend forecast.

See you then!
