Milton McGregor back in court

Casino Owner Milton McGregor is on trial again. Jury selection began today in the suit, which alleges McGregor and Macon County Sheriff David Warren prevented a second bingo casino from moving into the Shorter area. Charities filed the suit alleging they would have benefited from the casino.

McGregor's Victoryland remains closed, but plans are in the works to re-open. It was just a few months ago that McGregor was acquitted in a separate trial on charges that he bribed lawmakers to pass pro-gambling legislation.
