8 Elba students charged with burglary in school vandalism incident

ELBA, AL (WSFA) -

The investigation into Tuesday's reported incident at the Elba High School has resulted in warrants and/or juvenile complainants being filed against eight Elba High School students.

Each individual is being charged with one count of Burglary in the third degree.  Arrest of the individuals is pending.

Classes at Elba High School were canceled for the day on Tuesday due to vandalism overnight.

The initial cost of clean up was placed at $30,000.  Additional expenses are expected to be significant and are undetermined at this time.
