TROY, AL -
Sixteen Troy student-athletes received their degrees as part of the 2012 Troy University Spring Commencement ceremonies Friday in Sartain Hall.
The Trojan student-athletes were part of a graduating class that consisted of over 700 students that represented 29 U.S. states and nine countries outside the United States.
"We are extremely proud of all our graduating student-athletes," Troy Director of Athletics Steve Dennis said. "Our student-athletes take great pride in being champions on the field and in the classroom and today these 16 Troy Trojans won the ultimate championship.
"The attainment of a university degree should be the number one reason an individual attends any university. The Troy University education these young men and women have received will enable them to be successful in whatever they chose to do in life. Again, we are very proud of our graduates and look forward to watching them make an impact in our society."
