The fire kept crews busy for several hours. The building has already burned once this month. The apartments were hit on April 27th during the tornadoes last year.
At 5:00 a.m. Saturday morning, firefighters responded to a fire at an abandoned two story home on Avenue S in Ensley. No one was hurt in either fire. The Birmingham fire department is actively searching for a fire bug who set at least three fires overnight Thursday.
