Sometimes it just feels good to go back home. That's the case for Eclectic Elementary School teacher Malarie Futral. After graduating from Auburn Montgomery, she's now teaching in the same classrooms she learned in. "The woman who inspired me to teach is still here today," Futral said. "So it's great to have mentors that were your teachers."
Ms. Futral has been in the classroom for 4 years and says teaching is her dream job. "Even though we don't have a lot of money in the education system, they're still here and need people to teach them and love them." So that's what she does, finding fun and creative ways to keep these young minds focused. "We don't like to stay in one spot all the time. We need to move around because they're only 5."
She's on the move, having fun, and teaching at the same time. Congratulations Ms. Malarie Futral from Eclectic Elementary School, you're this week's Class Act.
