BARBOUR COUNTY, AL (WTVM) -
Officials with the Barbour County Sheriff's Office announced Willie Dickerson was arrested and charged with the January murder of Willie Pugh.
Pugh went missing on January 14. His body was found nearly two weeks later on a dirt road near Dickerson's home. The autopsy revealed Pugh died from stab wounds and blunt force trauma.
The week before Pugh's body was found, Dickerson's mobile home was intentionally set on fire and ruled arson. Investigators were able to sift through charred remains of the home and find some evidence while Dickerson was in jail in Houston County on an unrelated charged.
Barbour County Sheriff LeRoy Upshaw said that this was a very time consuming investigation due in part to there being three different crime scenes.
