BARBOUR COUNTY, AL (WTVM) -
Barbour County parents are worried about the superintendent's suggestion to transfer some teachers.
Parents are concerned because Barbour County High School principal facing criminal charges would be moved to the elementary school.
Clarence Magee was arrested in October after Opelika police say he became disruptive at a night club.
Barbour Co. Superintendent Jimmie Fryer said that is not the plan. The transfers don't include Magee and were recommended to improve the system as a whole. "In regards to making sure that our kids are prepared to be successful as they continue their progress along their educational journey."
The charges against Magee now await a grand jury.
The superintendent does not believe Magee poses a threat to students at Barbour County High School.
